Ēriks Dreibants believes that everyone should have a place away from the city to spend time with their loved ones. Having organized birdwatching tours for several years in Līgatne, Latvia, he had little doubt that this place, with so many things to see and do, was a destination worth sharing. Far enough from the city to escape everyday struggles; close enough to return back quickly.
"Pavāru māja is not about good food only, it creates stories and turns each visit into an unforgettable event. I choose Pavāru māja as my weekend getaway to get new impressions and enjoy quiet moments and simple pleasures. I have also spent quality time here with my team – alongside productive meetings we have enjoyed delicious meals but, most importantly, as a team we have gained a new perspective working in this new (and wonderful) work environment. It’s always a thrill to visit sincere and knowledgeable people. And here everything is always taken care of."
"Pavāru māja is a unique concept here in Latvia that will not leave any gourmet and wine lover indifferent. Surrounded by nature, the atmosphere here is truly beautiful and the team’s honest pride of this place is almost tangible throughout each moment spent here. Real and seasonal food from farm-grown products served in a very simple but a flavoursome way. The concise selection of contemporary and sustainable wines is curated by me."
"It's always a pleasure to visit Pavāru māja. Not only because of its beautiful environment, delicious food and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Here, more than anywhere else, you will feel the true spirit of slow food philosophy. Behind each meal you will experience the story about Latvian nature, local farmers and the team's true respect towards their products."
"A visit to Pavāru māja is always an event. It is an adventure we fully enjoy, because we know we can trust. Their team are true magicians who know how to cook beautiful and delicious food, create a relaxed atmosphere and make each guest feel special and very welcome. I remember my amazement after my visit here at Pavāru māja – it was asparagus season, and I came here as someone who despises them, but left already dreaming about my next asparagus meal. How did they do that? Not sure... they’re magicians!"
